Michigan Court Of Appeals – Docket # 371050

The first judgment or order that disposes of all the claims and adjudicates the rights and liabilities of all the parties is known as a Final Order.

The Judgment of Divorce is typically considered a Final Order and is appealable by right to the Michigan Court of Appeals.

An Appellant should understand that, unlike years ago when few read unpublished opinions, the decision in your appeal will remain in the ether for presumably eternity where your neighbors, your colleagues, people who might have an axe to grind with you, can read how the Trial Court concluded that your children are fearful of you, that you abused your ex-wife whom you were unfaithful to and share your annual income with the world.

Sometimes moving on and leaving well enough alone makes sense.

Food for thought.
